Shell Access¶

AWS SSM is the recommended way to gain shell access to all of your EC2 instances.

AWS SSM¶

Here are the steps for gaining shell access to your Helix Core EC2 instance using AWS SSM:

1. Navigate to the EC2 service in the AWS Console
2. Click on Instances in the left hand navigation
3. Find your Helix Core EC2 instance and select it
4. Click the "Connect" button in the upper right hand corner
5. Ensure you are on the Session Manger tab, and then click "Connect"
6. A new window will open and you will be provided a terminal prompt
